Web 2.5: Consuming Web Services with AJaX
Learn about tools and techniques for consuming xml services from a rich, JavaScript AJaX front en, all through code.
AJaX is redefining the ways we present information to users. XML Services are redefining how we retrieve informatino for them. In this session, we'll explore the platforms and frameworks that allow us to quickly and easily consume XML services from a JavaScript/DHTML interface. You get rich interfaces without platform dependence, plus access to new ways of dealing with XML payloads (E4X, JSON, etc.) You'll see several client-side AJaX frameworks (Prototype, Script.aculo.us, Dojo, etc.) talking to REST-ful and SOAPy XML services.
