Rain Dancing: Client Apps and the Cloud
In nature, clouds are little more than collections of moisture. They might be interesting to look at, but until they drop that moisture in the form of rain, they're of very little practical use. Similarly, in software, clouds are collectors and processors of data. The cloud's value is felt when it rains data down on client applications.
In this session, we'll look at how to build both sides of cloud applications, in the cloud and in your hands, that work together to achieve functionality goals. Specifically, we'll use Spring Boot and Spring Cloud to build the in-the-cloud functionality and Polymer web components on the client side (although the principals presented will apply to any technology stack).
