Speaker Topics - No Fluff Just Stuff

JVM and Natural Language Processing

How we speak and interpret language is something we do all the time from the time we were taught by our parents and teachers. How to do we take that linguistic understanding and teach the computer to deconstruct and understand language is what Natural Language Processing is all about.

In this presentation we go through some of the Natural Language Processing tools available in the JVM and discuss how to create NLP pipelines to help us break down concepts and react to linguistic differences. This presentation is JVM focused primarily where we will discuss two open source tools, Apache's OpenNLP and John Snow Labs NLP Library.
