Java Persistence API

The Java Persistence API (JPA) is the foundation on which EJB 3.0 is based, but you don't have to know EJB 3.0 to use it. Heavily influenced by Hibernate, and rising from the frustrated ashes of EJB 2.1 and Java Data Objects (JDO), JPA provides a powerful solution to object-relational mapping. Richard Monson-Haefel, author of “Enterprise JavaBeans 3.0”, provides a clear and easy to understand tutorial on the use of JPA as a stand-alone solution as well as part of a larger Java EE application.

Walk into this session a complete newbie to JPA and walk out prepared to master JPA and apply it to everyday applications at work.
