Intro to Service Component Architecture (SCA)
There are many facets to Service-Oriented Architecture. One of those facets is how to actually implement SOA. One architecture pattern and specification that is starting to gain attention in the industry is Service Component Architecture (SCA). Whether embarking on an SOA initiative or simply wanting to architect a solution that decouples services and components from one another, SCA is a great architecture method worth knowing about. In this session I will introduce the SCA specification and illustrate the basic elements of SCA. Through interactive coding we will see how to construct SCA components and assemble them together. We will also take a brief look at the Apache Tuscany project, one of the many SCA implementations available.
