Gradle in the Developer Tooling Ecosystem
Practicing Continuous Integration effectively requires more than just a build tool, yet the build tool plays a crucial role in bringing the pieces together and achieving Continuous Satisfaction.
In this talk we'll look at the wide Continuous Integration tooling landscape and where Gradle fits in to the ecosystem. After looking at the key Java IDEs (Eclipse, IntelliJ, Netbeans), we'll check out the build server landscape (e.g. Jenkins, Teamcity, Bamboo) before looking at the different options for sharing your binaries with different repository managers. Continuous Integration is all about feedback so we'll also look at how Gradle integrates with different code quality platforms such as Sonar.
Furthermore we demo how JRebel nicely integrates with Gradle to boost your productivity and what you can expect of cloud based build solutions like cloudbees and travis-ci.
