Speaker Topics - No Fluff Just Stuff

Git Full Day Workshop

You've heard about Git enough to pique your interest. However, get to know Git in a very deep and hands-on fashion with this full day workshop. You'll start with the basics of versioning source code, then progress to branching and merging those branches. When the workflow calls for it, we'll begin rebasing branches as an alternative to merge commits.

In the most advanced portion of this class, we'll look how to undo changes and implement workflows that make Git an excellent fit for open source and commercial software projects alike. We'll examine plugins for a continuous integration server and how code reviews can be facilitated by a product like Gerrit. Attendees will depart with a solid practical knowledge of how to use and implement Git back at their office.
