Speaker Topics - No Fluff Just Stuff

Essentials of Spring and Spring Boot

Spring Boot makes creating new Spring-based applications quick and easy, but it does hide a lot of complexity under the hood. This presentation will use Spring Boot to build a new application, but also discuss how the framework uses and configures Spring components. Both web applications and RESTful web services will be generated, tested, and deployed.

The Spring framework is one of the most popular open source projects in the Java world. It provides the plumbing for applications, managing the lifecycle of a web of “beans”, communicating with transaction managers, and handling other services as desired. This talk will involve database access, transactional services, generating REST APIs and more.
