API Design Part III : Messaging, GraphQL, and RPC

In the third API Design Workshop, we focus on other choices you have beyond REST for your application programmer Interfaces (APIs). Some choices will be more about ease and convenience for the developers, some will be about performance. We will cover the various benefits and tradeoffs these will unlock.

We will introduce messaging, RPC, and GraphQL styles.


About Brian Sletten

Brian Sletten is a liberal arts-educated software engineer with a focus on forward-leaning technologies. His experience has spanned many industries including retail, banking, online games, defense, finance, hospitality and health care. He has a B.S. in Computer Science from the College of William and Mary and lives in Auburn, CA.
