If you've attended the No
Fluff Just Stuff show, you know the quality of content. One little secret I'll
share with you, I keep going back to that show not because I can speak, but because
I can hang around with some best minds in the industry.
Sixteen+ of the speakers on the tour got together again this year to produce the NFJS Anthology 2007, published by The Pragmatic Programmers. Each one of them wrote topics that they're passionate about. More than writing a chapter, I enjoyed reading the chapters written by others?topics ranging from Groovy, JavaScript, Continuations, Web services and REST, JVM Byte Code, to Agilty. There are quite a few chapters in there that I could not put the book down while reading. If you have heard these speakers, you can have their voice play in your head as you read each chapter. If you've never attended NFJS, you can get a feel for it from this book and may be that'll convince you to be at the show near you. :) Neal Ford has done a great job editing the book. |
