Storm chasing? - No Fluff Just Stuff

Storm chasing?

Posted by: Venkat Subramaniam on December 9, 2005

I arrived in Chennai during the wee hours last Saturday (December 3rd) to find the city facing
a cyclone. The flight got delayed a few hours as the airport was directly under the weather. The
pilot circled around for what seemed like 2 hours (as if to counteract, dissipate the storm).

The airport was flooded, but fortunately not too bad. When I got out, I was told that half the
city was flooded. And what's worse, it's not over. There is another cyclone approaching...today.
This has been a year of storms chasing (ok, storm fleeing) for me.

I left the next day (Sunday December 4th) for Hyderabad, where things are relatively quite at
least weather wise, but I am here to make noice about being agile...
