Sign that you have been traveling too much?

Posted by: Venkat Subramaniam on September 11, 2005

The last few months have brought some busy travel schedule, but I speak to my kids at least a
couple of times a day over the phone. My kids usually asks during the talk ?Dad, are you
coming home today?? I knew they are missing me, however, I did not realize how bad until
yesterday evening?I had decided to take advantage of a relatively free weekend to spend the
entire day with my kids.

As I was helping my 2½ year old son get out of his car seat, I heard him ask me a question. I was
in denial that he would ask that, so I said ?Sorry, what did you say?? Without missing a beat, he
repeated very clearly ?Hey Venkat, are you my dad?? There?s my sign?I must spend more time at home.
