Have you heard of the green bar dance?

Posted by: Venkat Subramaniam on September 11, 2005

I have had the fortune of offering Agile Software Development course at various cities recently.
After a two hour interactive session on unit testing, I ask the attendees to form small teams
(typically 2 to 3 developers) and develop an application using test first development.

I generally go around answering questions during this session. A few minutes into the lab hour
I've started hearing a short uproar.

In a recent course, I heard the excitement of a group of three and approached them with inquisitive
eyes. The lady in the group said, "Oh, this is great. We?re having a green bar dance here." Nothing
can please an instructor more than a team excited about what they?re learning. I am thankful for
the opportunity to meet such excellent folks who?re interested in learning, and am glad to be test
infecting these teams!
