Java EE @ Chicago Coder Conference - No Fluff Just Stuff

Java EE @ Chicago Coder Conference

Posted by: Reza Rahman on August 6, 2014

The Chicago Coder Conference was held on Friday, August 5th. The Chicago/Illinois JUG played a key part in the successful event. The GlassFish team's own John Clingan spoke at the event on Java EE 7 and Java EE 8 as well as Avatar. Josh Juneau gave his excellent "Java EE 7 Recipes" talk. Josh's help in advocating Java EE and GlassFish stateside is very much appreciated. He wrote up an excellent trip report for the conference on his personal blog. Josh will be doing the same talk at JavaOne 2014 along with a practically driven talk on the Java EE concurrency utilities using the same recipes format:

Alongside Josh one would be remiss not to mention David Heffelfinger in terms of US based Java EE and GlassFish advocacy as evidenced by this Java EE course trip report on his blog. Like Josh, David is doing a variant of the course at JavaOne 2014:

We can all hope to see more of Josh and David especially here in the US at events like the Chicago Coder Conference.
