SiA2 Release Party : Thanks to everyone

Posted by: Craig Walls on August 16, 2007

In my opinion, last night's release party for Spring in Action, 2E could not have gone any better. (Well...okay...there could've been more pizza...)

Many thanks to everyone who showed up, bought a book, and participated in the discussion. Thanks to Manning for the pizza and book giveaways (and for making sure that we had plenty on hand to sell). Thanks to Jay Zimmerman with No-Fluff/Just-Stuff for contributing passes to NFJS Dallas and The Spring Experience 2007.

And many many thanks to Dave at Nerdbooks for letting the Spring Dallas User Group crash at his store for almost 2 years. It's sad that last night was the last SDUG meeting at that location. (But thanks to Improving Enterprises for hosting of future SDUG meetings.)

Congratulations to the winners of the door prizes:

  • Scott Williams and Brent Wiese : SiA2 printed books
  • Shay Logan and Jenny Zhang : SiA2 eBooks
  • David Casebeer : NFJS pass
  • Tyler Osborne : The Spring Experience pass
  • Paul Nelson and (I forget the other name) : "got <beans>?" hats

It was a ton of fun. If you didn't pick up a book last night, be sure to visit Nerdbooks. Dave still has several in stock...and he's the only place you can get them right now (I don't even have one yet).

Again, thanks to all...it was a blast!
