SiA2 Release Party : One last reminder

Posted by: Craig Walls on August 13, 2007

We're only a couple of days away from the release of Spring in Action, 2E and the release party at the Spring Dallas User Group. So, I thought I'd take this moment to remind you one last time to clear your calendar for Wednesday night and make the drive over to Nerdbooks in Richardson, TX for the event.

Manning's going to "spring" for pizza and there'll be some special door prizes handed out. And I'll be giving a general overview of Spring followed by a question and answer session--so if you've got a burning question about Spring on your mind, bring it with you and I'll do my best to answer it.

UPDATE: I just got word from Nerdbooks that they had received 33 copies of SiA2 to be sold at the event. They're supposed to have a total of 45 copies (I suppose one case is still in transit), 2 of which will be raffled off as door prizes.

Speaking of door prizes, there'll be a few goodies handed out on Wednesday night:

  • 2 printed copies of Spring in Action 2 (courtesy of Manning Publications)
  • 2 coupons redeemable for SiA2 eBooks (courtesy of Manning Publications)
  • A free pass to the Dallas No-Fluff/Just-Stuff in October (courtesy of NFJS)
  • A free pass to The Spring Experience in Hollywood, FL in December (courtesy of NFJS)
  • And, if I can find 'em, I've got one or two extra "got <beans>?" hats that I'll pitch in
