Hackergarten at Devoxx. Are you ready?

Posted by: Andres Almiray on November 7, 2013

We'll it's that time of the year when the Java community comes together in Antwerp for a week and get awesome stuff done. Now, as part of that awesome stuff we've got the 3rd edition of Hackergarten on Tour at Devoxx. What's that? You don't know what a Hackergarten is? Simply put, it's your chance to contribute back to an open source project you care about.

Hackergarten sessions differ from regular Hackathons by pushing the code at the end of the session; this means not only do you learn new IDE tricks and sharpen your skills by making new connections with like minded people, you also make a positive impact on an open source community; win-win right?

In past we years we had well known members of the Java community in attendance, for example Stephen Chin, Hans Dockter, Dan Allen, Gaving King, Sven Reimers, Aslak Knutsen, just to mentions a few names. Want to hack some code along these guys! Then be sure to come by 9:30am next Tuesday by the exhibitor floor and make something great happen. Hope to see you there!
