I'm happy to say that as of September 10th 2012 Griffon is now 4 years old!
It's been quite the roller coaster ride since the beginning, a very fun one for sure. In the last year the project hit two important milestones:
- Griffon 1.0.0 was released.
- Griffon in Action was published.
- the code moving to Github.
- the release of the Central Artifact Repository.
- lots of persistence plugins added to the plugin pool.
- a growing interest in JavaFX powered Griffon applications.
The Griffon community continues to grow at a steady pace; every major Java/Groovy related conference (at least in Europe and the USA) has had one talk on the topic at the very least, with more to come as we close 2012; plus a couple of surprises before this year is gone
A big THANK YOU! to everyone that has contributed to the project (ideas, code patches, bug reports, feedback, etc), you have helped writing desktop applications in the JVM a very productive and fun experience.
Keep on Groovying
