Griffon: Trident and FX builders released

Posted by: Andres Almiray on July 15, 2009

As promised a few weeks ago, Kirill just released Trident 1.0, an animation library for Java applications. I've been following the project since its inception, even started a groovy builder a few days after Trident's sources became available, not surprisingly TridentBuilder is ready for prime time! As with other Griffon builders this one comes with a plugin that will let you embed the builder into any Griffon application.

So... what can you do with TridentBuilder? here is a sample, this video shows some of Trident's examples reimplemented using the builder on a Griffon application

The source of this application is available at github. Kudos to Kirill for taking the time of building yet another great project that enhances the Swing (as well as SWT) experience. On related builder news FxBuilder 0.1 has also been released! the doc page is not up yet doc page is here, however most of the JavaFX Script code you see out there can be easily replicated with the builder, even media aware (caveat: charts are not included in this release).

Keep on Groovying!

Trivia: the snake demo is based on gfx's groodle #1 which in turn is based on javafx's doodle #1.
