MacWidgetsBuilder joins in

Posted by: Andres Almiray on December 28, 2008

Readers of Kirill's Swing Links of the Week have know for quite a while that Ken Orr has been working on a very exciting project: MacWidgets, a collection of widgets seen in OS X applications, offered in a Java API. Though the widgets are compatible with Apple's guidelines and behave like native Os X widgets they are actually Swing based, which means you can used them in non Os X platforms :-D

Today I'm happy to announce that MacWidgetsBuilder joins the SwingBuilder based family of builders, here are a couple of screenshots that mimic iTunes/Mail source lists

The current list of supported widgets is
  • emphasizedLabel
  • hudWindow
  • iappScrollPane
  • imageButton
  • itunesTable
  • sourceList
  • sourceListCategory
  • sourceListItem
  • spacer
The builder has yet to be released, it will be once the other widgets from MacWidgets 0.9.3.1 are in place.

Keep on Groovying!
