Json-lib news - No Fluff Just Stuff

Json-lib news

Posted by: Andres Almiray on November 4, 2008

According to SourceForge's stats report Json-lib broke the 100k download mark last month!

It is interesting to see the spike in the last two months (Sept/Oct) after the valley caused by SF's servers being relocated (Jul). Thanks guys for your support!

This leads to the next news bit, as you probably know by now JDK1.3 is no longer supported by Sun without a fee for some years now, JDK1.4 just entered its end-of-life period too, which means there should be less people interested in the jdk3 version of Json-lib as time goes by, paving the way for a single, full jdk5 compliant version of the library. This means Json-lib may now be able to tackle the most request feature so far (Generics support) without having a strong codebase split, another added benefit would be supporting annotations for serializing properties/classes (as done by FlexJson).

We'd love to have your feedback!
