Life has a way of changing your plans when you least expect it. Given that we (Ix-chel and I) have to travel back to Mexico due to our current Visas are about to expire we won't be able to speak at Agile 2008 as we previously announced, oh well, looking forward to next year's. But a new opportunity to spread the word on Groovy has appeared, Domingo Suarez (@domix) suggested a Groovy talk by yours truly in a upcoming SpringHispano.org reunion in Mexico City, tentatively scheduled for August 4th, will be the first time speaking about Groovy to my fellow Mexicans.
On related news, GTAC (Google's Test Automation Conference) has published the scheduled presentations so far for its upcoming event this year (Oct 23-24 at Seattle, WA), for which I'm happy to say that the conference committee has considered that a reprisal of Boosting Your Testing Productivity is worth including into the program. Yes, precisely the same topic proposed for Agile2008 but in a different format this time (45 mins vs 3hr tutorial, have to carefully pick the topics for this one to maximize the experience).
Lastly there is Silicon Valley Code Camp 08 taking place the first week of November, with some luck at least one of the 3 proposals will have enough interested people in order to make it into the program listing.
So if you are into Groovy and planning to attend to any of these conferences/meetings please drop by and say hi
