About this Presentation

While Java provides the promise of “write once, run anywhere,” each platform has its own ins and outs: RPM and deb install hooks, systemd units, and even native libraries for detecting system-dependent information. Elasticsearch is a server written in Java, and testing all the platforms it supports ensures stable releases. This talk will showcase our Gradle plugin built to test Elasticsearch on each platform with Vagrant, explain how Gradle makes this easy, and how one can test their own application.
