In this session we take an in-depth look at how WebWork/Struts, a leading Java web framework, simplifies AJAX development to the point where any Java server-side developer can use it.
Expanding upon AJAX frameworks like Dojo and DWR, WebWork packages up common AJAX techniques such as validation, remote form submission, and remote div refreshing - all with easy-to-use JSP tags.

Patrick is the founder and CEO of Autoriginate, the creators of HostedQA. Patrick is also the CEO and Chairman of OpenSymphony Group, Inc, a non-profit open source group dedicated to the creation of high quality, open source Java-based components. Most recently, Patrick oversaw a rare occurrence in the open source world: a merger of two competing projects, OpenSymphony WebWork and Apache Struts. He is also the founder of OpenQA, an open source group dedicated to bringing quality open source testing tools to the market. Patrick is a published author and an established leader in the Enterprise Java community.
