“It is often said that we at JetBrains are eating our own dog-food. And yes, this is true, because we are using the tools that we produce, in our daily work. This was the story of IntelliJ IDEA, and this is the story of our new product – TeamServer - that is intended to bring the same level of productivity to the team work. One would probably wonder what AJAX has to do with the TeamServer, but the answer is simple: it’s all about eating our own dog-food.

Working on the new project, we faced the need in a nice web-development tool. And this tool had to support not just HTML and CSS editing, but also help us use cutting-edge technologies like AJAX (as you know, we like to run at the front of the pack!) :-)))

So, what do you think we did? We extended the capabilities of IntelliJ IDEA, so that it became not just the best Java IDE, but a powerful development kit with the best coding support for web and enterprise developers.”

During this session Mike will cover functionality that is already available in the latest released version of IntelliJ IDEA (numbered 5). He will also step through the new features that are coming soon in version 6, and he may even let out a few of JetBrains’ top-secrets related to technologies and innovations planned in the 7th generation of their flagship - IntelliJ IDEA :-)))
