About this Presentation

Ajax developers are relying heavily on JavaScript to make
web interfaces richer. But JavaScript has drawbacks. A declarative approach to AJAX development, based on XML technologies such as XHTML, XPath and XSLT is a great alternative and can increase developer productivity significantly.

During this presentation I will develop an AJAX-style “favorites list” application. Each step of the development process will highlight an advantage of a declarative, XML-based approach: Its hierarchical code structure, human readable, centralized code, and extensive use of XML standards.
